The Death Riders were born from the ashes of Blackpool Combat Club last year. Their leader is former WWE star Jon Moxley. Apart from him, this faction consists of Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, Pac, and Daniel Garcia. AEW star Claudio Castagnoli made his debut in the company in 2022. He is best known for his time in WWE, where he held the United States Championship once and the World Tag Team Championship multiple times. The former Swiss Superman possesses immense strength and is a modern-day great. He is an important part of the Jacksonville-based company. However, there is a strong possibility that he will return to WWE. The 44-year-old would certainly be welcomed in World Wrestling Entertainment with open arms. Here are 3 signs that indicate Claudio Castagnoli will return to WWE. #3. John Cena referenced the Death Riders member during a promo earlier this year John Cena is in the final year of his in-ring career. Earlier this year, he was feuding with CM Punk. Ahead of their Night of Champions bout, they came face-to-face on SmackDown. During this segment, Cena dropped his version of a pipebomb. In this promo, he mentioned three names: Matt Cardona, Nic Nemeth, and Claudio Castagnoli. Two of the above three names have made appearances in the company since this promo: Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder) and Nic Nemeth. Since the Cenation Leader also mentioned the former Cesaro in his promo, many fans believe that the Death Riders member's WWE return is imminent. #2. Shaemus referenced Castagnoli on Raw Shaemus and Claudio Castagnoli were a tag team called The Bar. They were adored by fans and were quite successful. They held the World Tag Team Championship four times and displayed sheer dominance every time they entered the squared circle. One of the former Cesaro's signature moves was The Cesaro Swing. Interestingly, Shaemus used this move on Dominik Mysterio on this week's Raw. This was quite unexpected, and fans are looking at it as a hint for the Death Riders members' return. Shaemus and Castagnoli are good friends in real life. In a recent interview with Joey Hayden of DallasNews.com, the Irish star showered the AEW star with praise. "To me, he’ll always be one of the greatest. I think no matter what he does or where he goes, he’ll be a massive success. He’s a huge asset to anybody who picks him up.
