Ever since AEW first launched in 2019, the promotion has been filled with several factions. It started with the Inner Circle and has snowballed to the point where there are several factions currently in the company. There are so many factions present in the company, like Don Callis Family, The Hurt Syndicate, The Conglomeration, etc., that it would be hard to name them all. Apart from factions, there are several tag teams and alliances that have formed over the years. However, this also presents opportunities for betrayals to happen, which could lead to some shocking moments. In this article, we will look at three shocking betrayals that could happen in AEW before 2025 ends.

#3. Swerve Strickland could turn on Hangman Page

Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page spent most of the last year and a half feuding with each other. They competed in some pretty brutal matches. However, they were able to put their animosity aside for the greater good at All In: Texas when Swerve helped Hangman win the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley.

Swerve Strickland could end up betraying Hangman Page before the year ends in pursuit of the World Title.

#2. Don Callis Family could turn their backs on Konosuke Takeshita

Konosuke Takeshita was the first member to be added to the Don Callis Family. This also catapulted his career to new heights and brought him a lot of success. However, things have been escalating between the Don Callis Family and Takeshita, especially after the addition of Kauchika Okada.

It has been clear for some time now that Konosuke Takeshita does not get along with his Japanese counterpart. Additionally, Takeshita is also going after Okada's Continental Championship by participating in the Continental Classic Tournament. It's only a matter of time before things reach their boiling point between these two men. If that happens, Don Callis Family might choose Okada over Takeshita, leading to a massive betrayal.

#1. Popular AEW team TayJay could break up due to betrayal

Tay Melo and Anna Jay have been together since the very beginning of their time in AEW. They have wrestled as a tag team before there was a tag team division in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

TayJay was also part of the Women's Tag Team Title tournament. However, they crashed out of the tournament despite being one of the favorites. However, this alliance may not last long as there have been reports that Anna Jay's contract with AEW is expiring soon. Therefore, if she chooses to leave the company, it's likely that Tony Khan will book Tay Melo to betray Anna Jay. This could be used as a storyline where they compete in a match where the stipulation is such that the loser must leave the company. Anna could lose and leave AEW.
