Konosuke Takeshita is an extraordinary talent. He is a brilliant in-ring competitor and has an immense aura. He is the reigning IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and has held the AEW International Championship once. His alliance with Don Callis has made him a megastar. However, it might be time for him to part ways with the faction.

The Alpha is a generational star, and Tony Khan must keep pushing him. Even though he has achieved substantial success with The Don Callis, he might do better as a solo competitor. Here are three reasons why.

#3. Don Callis prefers Kazuchika Okada over him

Kazuchika Okada is the most accomplished one in the Don Callis family. The 37-year-old is the reigning AEW Unified Champion, and it appears that he is not getting dethroned anytime soon. He is best known for his time in NJPW, where he held several world titles, making him a company legend.

Although it seems like both Okada and Takeshita are revered by Callis, on paper, The Rainmaker has achieved more success. The two wrestlers already have animosity, and it might get worse. Callis, Okada, and other members of the faction could very well attack the Alpha and kick him out. It will be wise for the champion to leave on his own before this betrayal happens.

#2. The Don Callis Family is too big

The rise of the Don Callis Family has been a treat for fans. The faction currently consists of fourteen members and is one of the most dominant groups in all of wrestling. Unfortunately, not everyone in this stable is pushed by Tony Khan. Lance Archer, Mark Davis, Josh Alexander, and more haven't done anything significant since joining them.

Fourteen members in a faction is excessive. While some members get attention, others are ignored. Konosuke Takeshita is one of the most pushed names in the group. However, this is not a healthy environment to be in. The Alpha needs to be a lone wolf to take his career to the next level. He must leave the Don Callis Family and become a solo competitor as soon as possible.

#1. AEW must turn Konosuke Takeshita a face

Even though Konosuke Takeshita has been a heel for years, fans in attendance lose their minds when he appears on Dynamite or wrestles in pay-per-view. He is one of the most over names in the company, and many believe that he is a future AEW World Champion.

Tony Khan must pull the trigger soon. The Don Callis family might attack and kick the Alpha out on a future pay-per-view or Dynamite. This segment would instantly turn the 30-year-old into a babyface. It will be much easier for fans to get behind the former International Champion once he changes his character. Furthermore, the chances of him challenging and becoming the AEW World Champion will significantly increase if this happens.
