AEW has a massive roster of talent who are willing to go the distance to make a name for themselves. Given that the company only has a limited amount of TV time each week, this means that not everyone will be featured on every single show. There are many talents that are kept off TV for various reasons. Either they are injured, they have outside projects, or they simply made Tony Khan angry. In this article, we will take a look at three AEW stars who could return to action before the year ends.

#3. MJF

MJF has been one of the best homegrown talents in AEW. Over the years, he has grown to become one of the biggest heels in the entire industry. Therefore, he is a sought-after commodity outside the company as well. Maxwell, being a smart man, is willing to take advantage of the opportunities presented to him.

After wrapping up his feud with Mark Briscoe, which culminated in a brutal Tables N' Tacks match at All Out 2025, he has taken time off TV to film for Violent Night 2. However, recent reports have suggested that the filming for Violent Night 2 is coming to a conclusion. This means that Friedman will more than likely be back in the ring before the year ends.

#2. Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho was a key part of the AEW roster when the company first started in 2019. He was featured regularly on TV and was even crowned the inaugural AEW World Champion. Despite being at the tail end of his career, Jericho has been able to deliver standout matches almost every week.

He even won the ROH World Championship twice. After being a constant feature on TV, Jericho went on a hiatus earlier this year and hasn't been seen since then. In the midst of this absence, there has been speculation that Jericho could be on his way back to WWE when his contract expires. The former World Champion has also teased making a WWE return on social media.

However, it is unlikely that Jericho will leave the Jacksonville-based promotion since he is treated like a massive star in the company. Tony Khan has also said that he would love to have Jericho in AEW. Therefore, the former WWE star should make his return to the ring by the end of this year.

#1. Adam Copeland should return to action in AEW before 2025 ends

Ever since arriving in the Jacksonville-based promotion, Adam Copeland has been able to turn a lot of heads with his impressive performances in the ring. He recently reunited with his best friend Christian Cage. However, just when their tag team was getting off the ground, the Rated R Superstar told Christian on Dynamite that he needed to take some time off to take care of his family.

This was as storyline excuse to write Copeland off TV since he had to go and film for the show Percy Jackson and the Olympians. However, filming for the show should conclude soon.

Therefore, the Rated R Superstar could be back in the ring before the year ends.
