WWE Survivor Series received mixed reactions from fans. While the storytelling was at its finest, the match quality arguably didn't live up to the hype. The highlight of the premium live event was a mystery man ambushing CM Punk and helping the heel squad pick up the victory in the Men's WarGames Match.

Fans also got emotional as John Cena lost his Intercontinental Championship to Dominik Mysterio, all thanks to the returning Liv Morgan. The legend now has one appearance left as an active wrestler. The Women's and Men's WarGames matches had several high moments. Overall, the event was a huge success in the eyes of the global sports entertainment juggernaut.

Despite WWE's success, AEW has been one of the toughest competitors to date after WCW. While no AEW star was present in the arena, fans chanted for their fan favorites every chance they got. Let's take a look at some of the All Elite Wrestling names that were referenced at Survivor Series: WarGames.

#3. Chris Jericho

The former AEW World Champion has been rumored to join WWE in 2026. He hasn't been seen on AEW TV for over six months despite being healthy. His contract will reportedly expire in December 2025. Reports have suggested that he wanted to make a WWE comeback for a retirement tour and a potential Hall of Fame induction. However, things have been quiet in the past few weeks.

Chris Jericho's name also came up during the Survivor Series: WarGames Post-Show. When Triple H, Big E, and other analysts were discussing the premium live event, fans decided to chant 'Y2J'. Interestingly, WWE's Chief Content Officer chose to ignore them.

Fascinatingly, the two stars paid tribute to each other despite being in different companies. At Crown Jewel: Perth, fans chanted loudly, demanding The Rated-R Superstar's return.

The Shield made a long-lasting impact in WWE. Despite Jon Moxley's exit from World Wrestling Entertainment, stars and officials consistently mention The One True King's name when talking about the group's history.
